With Internet crime statistics growing daily, the Federal Government finds themselves in a position where they do not have the manpower and resources to investigate all crimes that occur on the Internet, and in many instances, will only take on cases that meet specific guidelines. The USICT was formed to address this issue, and to assist the government by disseminating the enforcement to local, state, and other federal agencies.
